Hi family, Well we celebrated hump day last week, we are more than half way through our mission. Its amazing that by the time you get half way you finally feel like you are contributing a little and really get into the work and what you would like to accomplish. Their is so much good to do here,Id like to make a little dent in it. 

We had a baptism this week in our ward, they always have them right after church, they asked Don to give a talk on the holy Ghost last week, as we have baptisms pretty regularly. The sweet little sister missionaries just whispered in his ear after it started if he would give a talk. We give the best talks here, as we never have time to prepare one or fret over preparing one. We call them instant talks.....just ask Heavenly Father for help and always be willing when asked. It seems to work well.

We have been putting in long hours in the office getting all 28 missions to plan several special Easter open houses in different wards or branches, so lots of emails and phone calls,and texting, as we feel like most of them are up an running. this week we fly to Santiago Chile with our Area President to do a special promotional meeting with stake presidents area seventies and mission presidents. We will have the two new Easter banners that they have  designed to go with our open house kits that each mission will get and new passalong cards designed especially for the Easter season. We should have more than 75 Easter open chapels around the Easter Season designed to get the members working with the missionaries to invite lots of non members or less active to come to our chapels for a short tour designed to teach the basics of what we believe and do lots of fellowshipping around the refreshment and referral tables. During the Christmas Light the world campaign, we generated more referrals than all most the whole six previous months. We hope to have that kind of success in March and April too. We are enjoying doing the self-reliance firesides for the missionaries that are going home. I feel like they are all my own grandkids. I like fixing a big ole american meal and having a couple sets of Elders over on sundays to get full, and then have them make a couple of PBandJs to take with them for later.

We also enjoy teaching the facilitators here in the different stakes for  the selfreliance groups, so many great latter days saints working hard in their callings. We are helping make calls for the perpetual education fund also, because they are always behind in contacting the participants. Its too bad they changed the whole computer system since our last  mission, we would have not had so much to learn.

 Don is at a stake priesthood meeting tonight,he took a young less active 15 year old in our ward with him, as he just has a single mom and needs a little priesthood help. He filled up the car with the other American older missionaries as none of them have cars and its a treat to have a break from the subway and buses. We dontusually use our car much in the city either as lots of traffic and not much parking. The subways are faster. but crowded and hot, poor Pop is soaked before we get to the office in the morning.

There was a big world formula E race car event we went to  yesterday and got good and sunburned. It was pretty cool seeing all those electric cars racing around the streets of Puerto Madero on a special track they set up for them. By the time we watched all the time trials and then the actual race, it was a bout 4 hours. A few weeks ago we had a saturday free also and went to the Davis cup tennis tournament, Argentina vs. Italy. It was awesome. This huge city has alot of cool things to do when you have a little time. I keep telling myself we came here to serve a mission not be a tourist, but its great to take advantage of this amazing city when we can fit it in. The art museums and palaces and theater and music events are amazing and lots of them are free.

We saw little Ammon Price from our home ward in American Fork at a ward we were visiting to get a Capilla Abierta scheduled this morning and he looked so thin, I asked him how he had lost so much weight. He said the last ward he was serving in didn't make very much food. The missionaries eat one meal a day with the members here.and then walk it all off the rest of the day.  Too bad he is serving an hour from us Id fatten him up.

My hair cutting and coloring has sure come in handy, as two of our area presidency wives have me come to their homes, the area attorneys wife, Mission presidents wives and most of the senior couples, Im the travelling hairdresser.They just have a hard time communicating what they want in spanish.

We are learning so much spanish and computer skills and lots of love and appreciation for each other. We are getting to be quite a team........   Heavenly Father is thee best teacher.... Love to each of you and you grandkids stop growing so much, I dont want to miss out on so much of your lives. "B" We are praying for all to go well on tuesday with your surgery..... and Eric and the Nortons are sure in our prayers and thoughts........and sweet Jenny Reader and Gary and Karen......... and Ali with her prayers and big decision about her heart surgery. We are thinking of each of you and keeping you in our prayers.......We love you and miss you    Nan and Pop and mom and dad and Don and Rhonda
