Hi people we love, I sure havent been a very often letter writer. It seems Im writing alot but not a family email. Today coming to work on the very overcrowded hot subway we had our daily sauna treatment. Its the best time to practice spanish and share the Gospel because you have a very captive audiance face to face body to body. I had some really fun 20 year olds teaching me verb conjugations and wanting to say their few english words. One had learned alot of English playing lots of video games and told me about his girlfriend and of course I asked him if he belived in the law of chastity and proceded to tell him why it was so important today. many of the young people say "oh thats an ancient law that we dont belive in any more". I point to a sweet little baby or a young child and say thats whyits still true today, to protect the family and  procreation. boy do I have interesting confersations with my limited spanish ability. sure share lots of passalong cards and phamplets and Books of mormon. The people hear are so kind and helpful.

We just flew to Santiago to do a big meeting with our Area President, President Teixeira. The six mission presidents from the area and area seventies and all the stake presidents and all our open house coordinators in the area came. We answered questions directed to us with mics and had a best practices meeting with our coordinators earlier. It was a great trip, and we love flying over the Andes mountains, it seems as though you could reach out and touch them. Ali bought me a jacket at H and M to take on my mission, and somehow didnt get the security plastic knob taken off so Ive been wearing it for 9 months with the device hanging on the side of me because there are no H and Ms en Argentina. Well last time we were in Santiago we saw an H and M. So I brought the jacket this time and we took it to H and M and they said Im so sorry but we cant take it off without a receipt. My blood pressure was rising so fast I had to leave. We came back a little while later after I said a prayer and went upstairs to a completely different person and after she told us she couldnt take it off without a receipt she said but I quess we could make this one excepcion for your situation. So Im finally security device free.had to take an hour and a half plane ride to free my jacket after 9 meses.

We have a family we met in the street that we have gone to visit and share a Book of Mormon with. They are facinated with us gringos and very nice. Last night they said they would be happy to have the elders come teach them. We have a 17 year old from Colombia and his brother that is a doctor at 33 and not married coming for dinner after church sunday.. and the missionaries so we will see how the missionaries do with our two new non members.

Monday and Tuesday were holidays here so yesterday we went to the beautiful Temauken zoo. They had an amazing hipopotamus that did tricks for us . It was pretty amazing.It was so hot we stood under all the fan mists just to cool off. 

We really enjoy doing the my pathway devotionals for all the missionaries just before they leave for home. Many are the only members of the church in their families from chile, Peru , Bolivia Mexico and lots from Utah and the U. S. I feel like they are all my grankids.... so amazing what they have become after serving , We sure hope they dont forget all the great habits they have formed. The church and the world need them and all their goodness.

Last week one of our couple sisters passed out on the subte, and the medics came. it was so crowded she coulnt fall and hurt herself. It just so happened that a vet was there and took care of her. She is still haveing problems so has been having alot of tests at the hospital. we couples get pretty close as its fun to have someone you can talk to in English. Most of the ladies dont have much spanish, so they think im fluent, ha ha.. Only people who dont speak spanish think I speak spanish.  I must be grateful as its a whole lot better than our first spanish mission.

We get to go to a polo match this saturday in the big polo stadium by our house. Weve been so excited to see those beautful horses and learn about the game as we have always had a training during the other matches.

The Gospel is true in South America South area and sharing it with others is pretty amazing. we are doing a family home evening for a less active family this coming week. went to visit them last week to find them in this big apartment building where they share bathrooms and kitchens and who knows what all. I asked the kids what their favorite treat is and they all said cupcakes, and since kids were coming out of every door along the hall to see us I better make a whole lot of cupcakes.
