Dear Elder Norton, Your emails are such an inspiration to your old Nan and Pop. We love our mission too and hard work and lots of prayers sure does bring forth the blessings of Heaven. We are seeing many new converts from our open chapel events where the members work together with the missionaries inviting friends and neighbors to come and learn about the Mormons. We had a family with six children get baptized a couple weeks ago and many others since then as we are having many Capilla Abiertas(open Chapels) every weekend in our 28 missions in the South America South Area. We do the training of the members in our local mission of Buenos Aires.and go set up our banners and Cristus banner with a recording of the words of Christ just like in the visitor centers. The Sister missionaries do the teaching and testifying and the Elders are at the reference table and in the baptizm font with two beautful banners explaining about  Baptism and the gift of the Holy Ghost. The members prepare a little  display about each organization and simple refreshments. There are four missions in this huge city. We have a large banner for the fence outside the building. Its an effective inspired way to share our Gospel with others, and its especially effective when the members work hard to invite everyone they know. We get lots of references in the streets inviting too. When the people say they cant come they will often give addresses and phones to contact them later. The ward members are asked to share a reference too, so each event  usually yields lots of references for the missionaries to follow up with. We travel to lots of our other missions to help them get started having open chapel events in Chile, Paraguay. Uruguay and all over Argentina. We head for Cordoba over thanksgiving (which they dont have here of course) to guide over 140 kids through the handcart trek. A very new experience out of our comfort zones, but we know Heavenly ]Father will help us.

We are really taking advantage of the world wide Christmas campaign on Mormon.org. We have special passalong cards to use to invite nonmembers and less actives to all the Christmas open houses and ward and stake events. Everyone loves getting those beautful cards showing them how to really celebrate Christmas Christmas with a quality of the Savior each day of December. The video is coming on the site november 25th. We  were shown it in the area presentation last week and it is so beautiful. Just imagine sharing the greatest gifts in all the world this Christmas. The Gift of the true Gospel. You are a gift Cayden, nothing more precious than a faithful. hardworking ,obedient Representative of our Savior.  We love you so much, and know you are learning so much that will prepare you to be a future leader in the church and a succesful husband and Father.
