Dear Loved ones, They of course don't  have Thanksgiving here in Argentina, and we aren't having turkey dinner with all the American Couples in Buenos Aires either. We are on a 15 thousand acre church farm in Cordoba Argentina getting ready for 128 youth and leaders to come for a pioneer trek. Cleaning out porta potties, planning out where four bus drivers can sleep so the stake doesnt have to pay to put them up in a hotel way off in the little town out here. I found some chicken left in the freezer from the Flinders( /the couple whose place we took after 7 years of spending half of each year here during trek season, Nov.-April) and rice in the cupboard that had no bugs in it and I brought some veggies, so we had Fajitas with no Tortillas. Por pop, no pumpkin pie, just hearts full of gratitude for a loving Savior, amazing Holy Ghost, Family that we miss dearly and cant believe how wonderful our reunion will be, good health, Covenants that bind us together and Eternal Companions that are loyal, faithful,enduring and supportive. We will never forget this Thanksgiving, we are a bit lonely and quite displaced, but ever grateful to be serving a mission for our Savior and hopefully representing Him well. We see His hand in our mission daily and know He is going before us and Angels on our right and on our left to buoy us up. Last night we decided to drive the truck into the little neighboring town and fill up with gas. While at the gas station, the worker just happen to notice that the whole trailer hitch assembly up under the back was hanging halfway off. We just drove all the way from Buenos Aires over 6 hours and had that big metal thing fallen off someone could have been killed. He sent us two blocks around the corner and a nice welder welded the broken parts back together and had the whole thing back on in 30 minutes for $20. No coincidences. Without that hitch we couldn't haul the porta potty trailer to the camps or the trailer with all the kids tents and food or haul the handcarts down to where the busses leave the kids. Thank you Heavenly Father. Last Sunday we were sitting on the stand in Sacrament meeting in Concepcion Chile, having just been asked to speak in their sacrament meeting. Its one thing to have no preparation time in your own language but Im even more dependant on the Lord because my spanish is so rudimentary. I was talking to Heavenly Father and told him I would like to share one of my favorite scriptures and primary songs, I will go I will do the things the Lord commands. and I said I don't know where it is found, but if you would like me to share it would you take me to it. I went on my phone and went straight to 1 st Nephi 3;7 and now I will always remember where that great scripture is found. I guess He wanted me to share it. I know Heavenly Father knows and loves each one of us, and every child of His in the crowded subway of Buenos Aires. He answers our prayers and fills our hearts with love. We are so grateful for each one of you this Thanksgiving, each of you are a special part of our lives. Thanks for always supporting us and loving us and taking such good care of each other.

If you want to have a very special way to celebrate Christmas this year, go to Mormon.org and print off the advent calendar and start each day in December with practicing one of the qualities of our Savior and helping to light up the World as He does. The Video is beautiful and each day will really be focused on Him and being more like Him. What a special way to celebrate His birth. Have your local missionaries share the light up the World pass a long cards with you to share with friends and kids at school and invite them to come to your home for the Christmas Devotional or other Christmas activities at your ward or community. Reach out and share with others that need the Gospel or need strengthened in their Testimony. It will be the best Christmas ever
